AMELIA ISLAND, Fla. (Sept. 9, 2021) – Located just off the northeastern coast of Florida, Amelia Island has been voted No. 3 among the “Best Islands in the Continental United States” by readers of Travel+Leisure magazine, one of the most popular travel publications in the world. This is the third year in a row Amelia Island has made the travel magazine’s “World’s Best Awards” list, now in its 26th year. Moving up three spots from last year, the No. 3 finish puts Amelia Island in exceptional company, joining No. 1 Hilton Head, South Carolina and No. 2. Kiawah Island, South Carolina in the Top 3, and ahead of other notable Top 10 destination’s such as the Florida Keys and Golden Islands, Georgia.

Amelia Island Makes Coveted List for Third Consecutive Year,

Voted No. 3 Best Island in Continental US by Readers

“Given the seismic upheaval the travel industry has endured, locally and globally, it’s reassuring to know that Amelia Island is still so highly regarded as one of the world’s top island destinations by seasoned travelers such as the readers of Travel+Leisure,” said Gil Langley, President of the Amelia Island Convention and Visitors Bureau. “Making the list for three consecutive years shows the tremendous effort and commitment made by so many local industry partners to protect and preserve all that goes in to the visitor experience in this unforgettable destination.”

The World’s Best Awards is a travel awards program run by Travel + Leisure and based on an annual reader survey. The prestigious annual awards honor the top travel destinations, hotels, and companies worldwide. Typically released in August, Travel + Leisure moved the World’s Best issue to October to provide travelers more opportunities.

The winners will appear in the October 2021 issue of Travel + Leisure magazine and have been released on TravelAndLeisure.com.

ha ha

everyone wants to be the last person to move here.

Then, they want to change everything to be like where they moved from.

People are odd.
