This is a great and much needed opportunity for Nassau County residents. Few people recognize that mosquitos live and breed in abandoned tires, they’re unsightly and hazardous. Thank you Solid Waste staff for working on a Saturday to help recycle (or reuse) the tires and thanks to every resident for supporting this worthwhile program. And thank-you to the County leadership for making this happen.
