Camden county is honoring Constitution Week, September 17th-23rd. This annual week recognizing the United States Constitution was signed into congress 65 years ago, through the efforts of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Each year, Constitution Week is a great time to learn more about this important document and celebrate the freedoms it gave us. Get involved by participating in some of Camden’s upcoming Constitution Week activities:

-Visit a community display to learn more about the United States Constitution at your local library, the Camden PSA, or local visitor center.

-Look out for the Constitution Week Proclamation issued by your mayor.

-Enjoy patriotic music rung from the city carillon bells in Kingsland throughout Constitution Week.

-Come to the Ringing of the Bells Ceremony, Sept 17th3:15-4pm in the garden of Orange Hall in downtown St. Marys, GA. Meet with the Earl of Camden Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and local representatives in this annual nationwide tradition to honor the constitution by ringing bells together as a community. Members of the Daughters of the American Revolution will be available to pose for photos in historic colonial outfits, followed by a short patriotic presentation. We will ring the bells together at 4pm; bells will be provided and patriotic attire is encouraged. This event is free of charge.
