Descriptions and details:

🥾 Nite Hike/Egans Creek Greenway
Date: August 27
Time: 8:00–9:30pm
Following a demonstration about night light, the tour will proceed to the north EC Greenway trail towards Citrona Dr., to the Beech St. bridge and back listening for animals (0.3 miles round trip). Infrared flashlights will be used for night
vision. Everyone will wear a glow stick for safety purposes.
Bring: Binoculars and cameras, insect protection
Meeting Place: 2500 Atlantic Ave. (trailhead behind the Atlantic Recreation Center)

🏝 Beach Exploration/North Beach Park
Date: August 28 & September 3
Time: 7:30-9:00am
Enjoy a guided nature walk along Amelia’s beautiful ocean shore. Discover natural treasures along the way as we learn about the beach ecosystem. Shorebirds and sea turtles will also be highlighted.
Bring: Bag for collecting beach treasure, sun protection, drinking water (if warm weather), shoes that may get wet
Meeting Place: 1230 N. Fletcher Ave. (9th Street and North Fletcher)

🐦 🦋 🌸 Birds, Butterflies and Blooms/EC Greenway
Date: September 4
Time: 7:30-9:00am
Enjoy a guided nature walk along the trails of Egans Creek Greenway. We will seek out plants that attract butterflies and discuss the various lifecycles that we may find. Birds and signs of other animals will also be highlighted.
Bring: Binoculars and cameras, comfortable walking shoes, sun and insect protection

🌅 🐦 Sunset With the Birds/Egans Creek Greenway
Date: September 10
Time: 7:00-8:30pm
Explore Egans Creek Greenway as the tide goes out and the sun prepares to set. Learn to identify some of the native wildlife as they feed and prepare for the night.
Bring: Binoculars and cameras, comfortable walking shoes, sun and insect protection
Meeting place: 2500 Atlantic Ave. (trailhead behind the Atlantic Recreation Center)
