And in future news, in 5 years, these new residents will start complaining about too much growth in Nassau County.

And in a few years the extra growth’s consequent expenses (infrastructure, traffic, services, etc.) will outpace the development fees and property taxes collected. Amelia Island will be the most impacted. All new residential development is a legal Ponzi scheme, with developers making bank and everyone else left holding the (empty) bag.

Yes, I agree with all of you, as Fernandina Beach, Yulee, and Nassau Counties growth is totally out-of-control. I moved here from S Florida just 15 years ago and thought I would live out the rest of my life here, but with the growth spurt we’ve had here in the last 5 years, I was better off staying in S Florida, as there are so many more opportunities there to make money.

And I just can’t wait for the 3k plus cars that will be on SR 200 in the next couple years. Sad to say but Yulee has become a “Bedroom Community”.
