Additional Covid-19 information about Covid-19 cases in Florida can be located on the Florida Department of Health’s website under the “Weekly Florida COVID-19” Data Link.
You can also obtain important updates from the One Nassau website. This includes the weekly Health Department updates (like the one below), tips on protecting yourself, and monthly Covid testing schedules.

The evidence is crystal clear. Vaccinated people are much more protected from long Covid and death. Unvaccinated people are much more likely to contract Covid and pass it on. The vaccine does not change a persons DNA. Many more young people and small children are getting serious cases of Covid and are dying. States that have voluntary masking requirements and low vaccination rates have the great majority of new cases of Covid, hospitalizations, and deaths due to Covid.
Looking at that data, it is gratifying to see the significant ramp up in vaccinated people the last 3 weeks……after months of 200-300 week we hit 1600 the last two. Recent events have now convinced the most ardent anti-vaxxer to get jabbed (one I know quite well just got his second shot). Good.
There is also evidence last week that this wave is about to “rollover” in Florida and start a down trend. More good. In a few weeks we won’t be talking about this as much……we’ll be discussing the next hurricane.
I never see deaths reported. Why? How many people are dying each week? Why aren’t deaths reported?
The state does not provide a breakdown of deaths per county. They do offer weekly updates on the number of deaths. Sadly, lives would be saved if the public were given updated information showing the real impact of COVID-19 on local communities.
