News4Jax reports Nassau County holds dubious distinction in national ranking of COVID-19 cases per capita

“Nassau County has the highest rate of COVID-19 cases per capita of any large metropolitan county in the United States, according to a News4Jax analysis of Centers for Disease Control and Prevention data. Baker, Clay and Duval counties are also in the top five counties in large metropolitan areas in America, based on the rate of new infections in the last seven days.”

This article doesn’t mention the death rate associated with this increased rate of COVID infections. This information would be helpful to assess the current COVID threat level.
