40+ acres. Apparently county land.

Another future annexation into the City limits? No problem. The City has resources to spare.

Why do people keep saying the City is “all built out”?

With a new city fire station planned for right across the street, I would think they would request annexation into the City. But like Crane Island, they will wait until they can get their plans approved by the county under their more lenient codes before asking to be annexed and getting the city’s police and fire protection.

If it’s county land, then why can’t we make it into a nice park? Oh, I forgot. “Endless growth” is the current theme here.

Clarification.

Some of the land may be within City limits. Most appears to be PRIVATE lands outside the City limits. Nassau County does not actually own any of the land.

The developer is being smart asking for community input….. be positive for this situation. Growth will occur, control and guide it instead of complaining…
