The Historic District Council (HDC) of the City of Fernandina Beach will hold a workshop to receive a briefing on the plans for the Amelia River waterfront stabilization project for the area south of the boat ramp, including Parking Lots C & D.  The workshop is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. in City Commission Chambers on Thursday, July 15, 2021.

The workshop will immediately precede the Regular HDC meeting, which begins at 5:00 p.m.  Among other items on that meeting agenda is consideration of approving the plans to be discussed at the workshop.

The public is invited to hear Passero and Associates make a presentation on the Waterfront Seawall Project and ask questions about details of the plan. The project is the first phase component of the City’s overall Waterfront Stabilization and Resiliency program consisting of the installation of a new 838 ft riverfront bulkhead and boardwalk system set at an elevation of +9.0 to withstand and block anticipated storm surge and flood waters.
