7/2/21 @ 8:30 a.m. – Ordinance No. 2020-31 requires all vehicles to be off County-owned beaches (Peters Point south to the State Park) by 9:00 p.m. from May 1st to October 31st each year due to turtle nesting season. Please note that on Sunday, July 4th, the beach driving access points will be closed to oncoming traffic at 8:30 p.m. to provide additional safety measures for pedestrians gathering to view fireworks from the nearby resorts. All vehicles already on the beach prior to 8:30 p.m. will be required to exit the beach by 9:00 p.m. per the Ordinance.

If you have any questions, please contact Parks & Recreation at (904) 530-6120.
