If you are 60 years of age or older and a resident of Nassau County, you may receive help with a past-due electric bill through Nassau County Council on Aging (NCCOA) and the Emergency Home Energy Assistance for the Elderly Program (EHEAP). Qualified individuals with a cooling emergency may also be eligible to receive a window AC unit from EHEAP.

EHEAP funds are available to qualified seniors in Nassau County. Funds are based on need, Nassau County residency and other factors that a NCCOA case manager or agency representative will be happy to discuss with applicants. EHEAP is provided through ElderSource and the State of Florida Department of Elder Affairs.

To schedule an appointment, please call NCCOA at 904-261-0701 (Janice Ancrum Senior Life Center in Fernandina Beach) or 904-845-3331 (Westside Senior Life Center in Hilliard).
