Fernandina Beach High School Class of 2021 Awards Ceremony – Part IV

Editor’s Note This is the fourth and last in a series of photos that recognizes award recipients in the 2021 graduating class at Fernandina Beach High School. We extend our congratulations to the Class of 2021!

 

J.P. Nedelcu earned the distinction as a National Merit Finalist. Only 15,000 students throughout the country qualify. J.P. also received the Ted R. Steger Memorial Physics Award.

 

Principal Chris Webber recognized three National Merit Commended Students. Delaney Sjuggerud, Jacob Wisienski, and Megan Laffey.
Four students honored by the College Board National Rural and Small Town Recognition Program. PIctured are Jacob Wisienski, Delaney Sjuggerud, Davis Grander, and John Paul Nedelcu.

Students recognized by the College-Level Advanced Placement Program Exams taken in May of 2020/

15 Students qualified for AP Scholar by completing three or more AP Exams with grades of 3 or higher.  The students recognized are Mitchel Alboher, Jack Curley, Alexis George, Zachary Gordon, Thomas Gray, Trevor Hamilton, Joshua Kear, Kolby Kidd, Jack Krueger, Cannon Rosello, Kevin Runyeon, Erica Teare, Cole Terry, Kamryn Williams.

7 students qualified for AP Scholar with Honor by receiving an average grade of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken and grades of 3 or higher on four or more exams.  The students receiving the honor are Amanda Bales, Corben Gomez, Hampton Tanner, Aubrey Wesberry, Andrew White, Julianna White, Jacob Wisienski.

12 students qualified for AP Scholar with Distinction by attaining an average score of 3.5 on AP Exams and scores of 3 or higher on 5 exams. These students are Aspen Boler, Ellory Doss, Megan Laffey, Hadeia Liburd, J P Nedelcu,  Elizabeth Ramshaw, Eden Sadler, Delaney Sjuggerud, Reese Vonnoh, Alexandria Weiser, A J West, Jacob White.

The following students from the Junior Class were selected to serve as Marshalls (M), and Ushers (U) during the 2021 Graduation Ceremony. Their selection was based on weighted GPA attained as of the end of the 1st semester: Nadia White (U), Todd Rushing (U), Anika Richard (U), Maddox Bryant (U), AlinaQui (U), Kaitlyn Dillingham(M), and Kiowa Dempsey (M), Skylar Beatie (M). Not pictured is Adam Wiling (M).

 

Faculty Citizenship Award is given to Philip Tita and Reese Vonnoh. Presenting the award is Assistant Principal Meredith Lane.

 

The Faculty Leadership Award was given to Alexandria Weiser. Not pictured is another Leadership Award winner Hampton Tanner.

 

Faculty Award for” Best All-Around” is given to A J West and Megan Laffey by Assistant Principal Meredith Lane.

Principal’s Awards

Principal’s Award of Excellence to the President of the Senior Class goes to Megan Laffey. The award is presented by Assistant Principal Meredith Lane.

 

Principal’s Award of Excellence to the President of the Student Government goes to Aubrey Wesberry.   Assistant Principal Meredith Lane presents the award.
All A’s for Four Years recipients are from L – R Delaney Sjuggerud, Alexandria Weiser, Jacob Wisienski, Reese Vonnah,  Lily Gotz, Aspen Boler, Jessica Lee Elizabeth Ramshaw,  and Megan Laffey.
Kathryn Farrell achieved Perfect Attendance for all 4 years. Assistant Principal Meredith Lane presented the award.
Jacob Wisienski is presented the Pirate Principals’ Award presented by Chris Webber. The student is chosen by the Assistant Principal and Principal.
