6/7/21 @ 5:00 p.m. – At the May 24, 2021 meeting, the Board approved Resolution No. 2021-087 proclaiming the week of June 7 through June 11, 2021 as Code Enforcement Appreciation Week.

Code Enforcement Officers provide for the safety, health, and welfare of the citizens in this community through the enforcement of building, zoning, housing, animal control, fire safety, environmental and other codes, and ordinances.

Often, their efforts go unnoticed, however Nassau County’s Code Enforcement Officers work hard for compliance to keep our community clean and safe! They are dedicated, well trained, and highly responsible individuals who take their jobs seriously and are proud of their department and the local government within which they serve.

We appreciate them and everything they do for the residents. Please take time this week to learn more about Code Enforcement and if you see a Code Enforcement Officer, tell them thank you for their service and dedication.
