Under blue skies and with gentle breezes mitigating the sun’s rays, many grateful people attended the 2021 Memorial Day service at the foot of Centre Street in Fernandina Beach, FL.  This year’s observance was hosted by the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 1088.  Other organizations participating in the hour-long program included American Legion Post 54 and American Legion Post 401 and their Auxiliaries; Marine Corps League Edwin P. Pope Det. 1017; Vietnam Veterans of Nassau County; VFW Post 4351 and Auxiliary; the Princess Anne Chapter of the Colonial Dames; Daughters of the American Revolution, Amelia Island Chapter; West Nassau High School AF-JROTC; Fort Clinch Honor Detail; and the Nassau County Sheriff’s Department.

Many families attended, along with their canine friends.
