Fernandina Beach City Manager Dale Martin reports that Mr. Joe Pitcheralle, Parks and Recreation Superintendent, placed an older Mobimat on the walkover located at Beach Access #37 to alleviate concerns related to “sand-slipperiness.”

We are all aware of the problems. We can join with our neighbors to work toward solutions. Maybe one way to expedite getting new walkovers is to work with the City and form a public-private partnership to help fund replacements earlier in the budget cycle.
