There’s still time to join Amelia Lifelong Learning for the next two courses beginning in late April. One class will be held on-site and the other will be presented using Zoom. Masks and social distancing will be observed for the on-site class.

On-Site Class – Amelia Island Museum of History
Continuing Spanish for Busy People, with Dr. Berta Arias
Dr. Arias has presented Spanish language courses for various levels of expertise. This class is an intermediate level that will Review of basic Spanish grammar structures in a conversational setting to build confidence in the language for participants who have had Spanish previously.

Mondays and Wednesdays, April 19- May 19, 9:30-11:30 am.

Zoom Class – Economic Success of Japan, with Dr. Steven Ericson
Dr. Ericson is a professor of Japanese studies at Dartmouth. Last fall he presented a look at Japan in the lead up to World War II, during the war and in the following occupation. This course will examine Japan’s rise from a war-devastated economy to an economic superpower and the “lost” decades that followed the bursting of the bubble in the early 1990s.

Tuesday and Thursday, April 27 and April 29, 2:00 to 3:30 pm. Class limit 10.
