Prior to spring-break, Children from the MLK afterschool and Peck Center programs received spring break gift bags provided by CREED (Coalition for The Reduction/Elimination of Ethnic Disparities in Health). Each bag included instant breakfast foods, other snacks; all foods that kids can prepare without using the stove. Also included in the bags were socks or tights.

Among other worthwhile projects, CREED helps to restock activity shelves for after-school programs at the Peck Center with construction paper, play-Doh, colored pencils and markers. According to Jennett Baker, executive director, of CREED, “The after-school programs make a difference in the lives of many young children.”

CREED is a 501(c)3 organization.  If you wish to donate to this worthwhile organization, send checks to Jennett Baker, 464126 SR 200, Yulee, Florida.  32097.
