Action News reports arrest following $16,000 missing from Fernandina Beach Youth Football League funds

According to Action News, Christopher “C.J.” Crosby was arrested last week after allegedly embezzling $16,000 from a bank account belonging to a Fernandina Youth Football Program. Crosby was a former president of the organization. Innocent until proven guilty but certainly doesn’t look favorable for Mr. Crosby. Organization needs to look at their financial controls as if the unauthorized ATM withdrawals had been going on for more than a year this activity should have been detected long ago in a reconcilement of the expenses versus receipts for services or goods.
