Nassau County Emergency Management: 

Daily Covid-19 Update for Monday February 1st 2021
FDOH reported 201 new test results and 26 positive cases today (12.9% positivity). Total number of cases is now 7012 (6616 residents)
NOTE: Time periods covered in any given FDOH data snapshot or “latest report” vary. Data are provisional.
Daily Covid updates will be posted sporadically over the next few weeks, as we continue with our work to schedule vaccinations.

Can we please be more honest about this? The headline should read, “10,000 Nassau County Residents Vaccinated.” To suggest that 10,000 does have been administered in Nassau County is just plain false. If that was the case, there should not be thousands of people on the waiting list.

Jay, not sure what your point is. According to the chart, there have been 10,288 doses administered as of 1/21. Those doses went to 9,223 individuals of which 1,065 have received a second dose. With a population of approximately 85,000 of which 75% are above the age of 18, it is clear the demand greatly exceeds the supply of vaccine doses being made available to this point.
