According to a report flled by Steve Patrick for News4Jax on December 28, 2020, an average of 1 in every 16 Floridians has tested positive for the coronavirus this year. Although the Florida Department of Health began including a ZIP code breakdown on its COVID-19 dashboard several months ago, because of the high surge in cases, the entire map looks to be the same color (red).

News4Jax did its own analysis for counties of northeast Florida. They found that the ZIP code that includes Amelia Island, Fernandina Beach and part of mainland Nassau County had the most COVID cases, but that the ZIP code that includes Yulee had a higher rate of infection (1 in 16), matching the state average.
