Wild Amelia is pleased to announce its next virtual Wild Nite lecture at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, December  8, 2020. To accommodate CDC and local health guidelines, the session will be held on-line via Zoom.

The guest speaker will be Emily Dunn, stewardship manager at the North Florida Land Trust (NFLT). Her presentation will include an introduction to the work of the North Florida Land Trust, preserving natural resources, historic places, and working lands of North Florida. It will also highlight NFLT’s Amelia Forever campaign, a new initiative to conserve natural and historic resources on Amelia Island.

Emily joined NFLT in 2016. In her role as stewardship manager, she is responsible for management of NFLT conservation lands, facilitating the Team Terrapin volunteer program, managing seasonal stewardship staff and volunteers, and organizing outreach and service opportunities on NFLT lands.

Originally from the Philadelphia area, Emily received her Bachelor of Science degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Rochester and her Master of Science degree in Wildlife Ecology from the University of Delaware. Her graduate research investigated the effects of forest fragmentation on wildlife movement, and she has participated in ecological research projects on a variety of topics. Emily is a Florida Master Naturalist as well as an Associate Florida Master Naturalist Instructor with extensive experience in education and volunteer management.
