Island Art Association (IAA) presents “A Seat at the Table,” featuring ten artistic repurposed chairs, all for sale to benefit the charitable and educational mission of IAA. One-of-a kind chairs will be on display at the gallery, 18 N. 2nd St., Fernandina Beach, beginning Wednesday, October 7, or available to view online. They are sure to bring a smile to your face while supporting IAA. These works of art may also be seen on our auction site beginning Saturday, October 10. All bidding is online, accessed through IAA’s website, islandart.org, effective 5 pm on the opening day. Bids are accepted through Saturday, November 14, 6 pm at which time winning bidders will be announced. Sneak peeks on Facebook and Instagram will be posted throughout the bidding period.

Times have been difficult for many, and “normal” is still being defined. The medical community recognizes the healing properties of art, which IAA advances through their programming. IAA, a long time local non-profit arts cooperative, could use your help in navigating this new world. IAA’s primary source of income has been lost due to cancellation of the annual Isle of Eight Flags Shrimp Festival; IAA’s role is year round to publicize, select, and procure quality art vendors to complete the festival experience in partnership with the festival committee and the city. Levels of membership and ways for you to be a part of our “artful” community are found on IAA’s website.

IAA is committed to the promotion of the arts through its gallery and education center, outreach displays, workshops, scholarships, and supplies for art education in schools. Thank you for supporting IAA, as we support the arts in Nassau County.
