The City needs your help! The following Boards and Committees have vacancies. Check the City of Fernandina Beach website for dates/times of meetings and to apply: www.fbfl.us/392/Vacancies
Airport Advisory Commission: Serves in an advisory capacity to Airport Director.
Board of Adjustment: Hears and decides appeals of administrative decisions; hears and decides on applications for variances within City limits.
Board of Trustees of the Fire and Police Pension Plan: Plan administrators as it pertains to eligibility and membership, retirement amounts, and other benefits.
Fernandina Beach Housing Authority: Serves in an advisory capacity to the City Commission pertaining to fair housing.
Golf Course Advisory Board: Serves in an advisory capacity to the Golf Pro regarding the operation, development, and betterment of the City Golf Course.
Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee: Recommends plans and programs developed and designed to meet and satisfy the recreational needs of the community.
I think it’s quite amusing that all these seats are currently open, as there’s really no-way to line your pockets of money with them. But if there was, there would be a line of people wanting to join in.
