AMELIA ISLAND, Florida (September 18, 2020) – A coastal treasure of Northeast Florida, Amelia Island captivates visitors with breathtaking natural beauty, Southern elegance and hospitality, a collection of upscale accommodations and historical inns, and a wide array of exciting, outdoor activities. At the Residence Inn Amelia Island, dogs are greeted with a treat, dog bowl and ball. The Omni Amelia Island Resort also welcome pets and offers special dog-friendly dining at Falcon’s Nest, Marche Burette, and Natural Slice on property.
After checking in, pet lovers are encouraged to head out and enjoy the various dog-friendly opportunities on the island. A showcase of natural wildlife and scenery, Egans Creek Greenway offers 300 lush acres of protected area to roam with furry pals. Amelia River Cruises is a fido fan favorite, where visitors can bring along leashed dogs at no charge for the narrated, historic waterfront tour in Fernandina. Considered one of the destination’s most appealing attractions, Amelia Island’s breathtaking beaches also allow leashed pets from dawn to dusk (with the exception of state parks).
