Mask mandate extended for 30 days

Nassau County Insider
August 27, 2020

8/26/20 @ 4:45 p.m. – At today’s special meeting, Health Director, Dr. Eugenia Seidel, provided an update on COVID-19 which included case counts, current hospitalizations and COVID related deaths. She indicated that the positivity rate in Nassau County is declining and she attributed it to all mitigation factors taking place including physical distancing, hand sanitizing, and wearing masks. She is urging residents to continue use of masks in close settings where social distancing isn’t possible.

The Board discussed the current Executive Order mandating masks at indoor business establishments which was set to expire today. After some discussion, it was determined that the Board would extend the mask mandate an additional 30 days. As a result, the Board approved Executive Order No. 22, extending the mandate through September 25, 2020.

Several Commissioners acknowledged that they have been contacted by residents on both sides of this issue. While it certainly wasn’t an easy decision, they ultimately believe that the health and safety of residents is a priority. They also stated that they will be working with the Health Department and Emergency Management to establish criteria for lifting the mandate.

We encourage all residents to listen to this discussion and perhaps gain a better understanding of how they arrived at the decision to extend the mandate an additional 30 days. The meeting can be found here.

Glad to see the good doctor was wearing a mask when she was in a room all by herself. This is beneficial to the climate of fear we so badly need. But what we should really be afraid of is people sitting down and taking a look at the numbers – like the caller who did so.

Population of Nassau County = 89,000

Deaths the are coded as “Covid Deaths” as of August 27 = 16

16 / 89,000 = 0.00018

It is a good thing we are teaching the “new math” in schools because otherwise people might really start to question mask mandates. And if they do that they will likely start to ask all kinds of other questions. Such as:

  • Of those 16 deaths how many were presumed without laboratory confirmation?

  • How many of those who died were already dying of something else anyway?

  • How much financial incentive does a hospital receive for each COVID death code? Is it $39,000?

  • What was the average of age of each person who “died by COVID.”

Some people might start to ponder that you have more chance of a parachute malfunction while skydiving then dying from COVID as a resident of Nassau County. But if they do that we will tell them it is the mask mandate that is keeping the numbers low. Lots of people will believe it. After all, we’ve got half the world believing cow flatulence is killing polar bears. Just remember, it is easier to fool someone than convince them they have been fooled.

Thank you for ignoring those who would rather listen to conspiracy theories and wild hoax claims than science. Mask is a simple way to make us a little safer.

Try some science.

Take a drag off cigarette put on a mask and exhale.

Put the probe of an oxygen sensor behind a mask and take a reading.

Experts will tell you masks don’t do much to control source transmission. Mask pore size is measured in millimeters. The diameter of a virion is measure in nano meters.

virus

[vi´rus] any member of a unique class of infectious agents, which were originally distinguished by their smallness(hence, they were described as “filtrable” because of their ability to pass through fine ceramic filters that blocked all cells,

Fresh air and sunshine are good for you. It want to get sick wear a mask all day and stay inside always.

There are different questions regarding the virus and its preventions that have come up, mostly for 2 reasons: This has been a tricky virus to diagnose as its symptoms can be irregular, and the President and his minions have made it a political issue, confusing matters even worse. I trust that health officials’ only motive is to keep people healthy. The science is clear: anyone can get COVID-19 and pass it on, and it can be deadly. Please be a good citizen and follow the mask and distancing protocols.

In Germany during the time of Hitler, there were no doubt “good” Germans who told others “Just give the “Heil Hitler salute.” Perhaps that is why there are mass protests in Germany against the control measures. They know better than us the horrors of a totalitarian society.

Please do a little study on how viruses mutate over time and how they become less harmful and go away all on their own – just like they have done throughout history. Look into the subject of transport phenomena. You will most likely then conclude over the top control measures are not really about a virus – it is about obedience and control – something that is necessary to bring in the “Great Reset.”

Possibly you may be really hoping for some kind of great big reset. It is understandable that lots of people want to see things change. But once you have it you may not like it. All currency will be digital. Political power will be completely centralized at the global level. Vaccines will be mandatory. It will be total control from cradle to grave. Think planned parenthood on steroids. We are already there almost. New internet connected refrigerators are like surveillance devices. Smart meters record and store all kinds of information. Vaccines and psych meds are forced upon certain sectors of the public while Big Pharma profits.

The decision to wear a mask, isolate, or take a daily dose of Cod LIver Oil should be left up to the individual. We should not have “medicine by gunpoint.” We need separation of medicine and state.

Wearing a mask is like saying “Heil Hitler” to a totalitarian society. Please don’t be one of those people who drives around in a car by themselves wearing a mask. Seeing people do that really scares me – way more than the virus.

(Note: If the chance of dying from covID was calculated on a DAILY BASIS each day that number would be 0% for almost every day this year.)

there is nothing more dangerous than an educated pea brain———- this virus is too easily spread & extrapolated to wait for it to go away

Terry – when you lash out at someone with unfounded insults it is a display of emotion. Social engineers make good use of emotion. Hitler did that. He made use of people’s emotions. When the emotional part of your brain kicks in, the rational part of your brain becomes disconnected.

Probably no one will die of Corona today in Nassau County. That means the chance of dying would be 0%. And if it was 0% today, it will probably be 0% tomorrow – or something very close to 0%
