August 26, 2020

Editor’s Note:  Although the word was spreading that there were significant outbreaks of COVID-19 in an area health facilities among staff and residents, yesterday afternoon was the first time the Florida Department of Health has recorded the actual numbers of cases.  Our hearts go out to our healthcare workers, the patients and staff members infected,  as well as their families during this trying time.

The virus does what all virus’ do. This will not stop because we attempt to stop it.

The only thing we can do is to save the hospitals from heavy case loads all at one time.

Everyone will eventually contract the virus. Then we will be safe.

OR, how about a vaccine will be found that is safe for human use and those of us that haven’t contracted the virus can be vaccinated along with the rest of the world? THEN, we will be safe.

Good thing our parents didn’t feel this way when polio was the pandemic! I am thankful for getting the vaccine instead of having polio. Hope I can say the same about the Corona virus. I would like to skip the suffering myself. This is not like having a bad cold!

“You will forever be vulnerable to this virus if you don’t get exposed to it and develop natural antibodies. Why wait for a problematic vaccine when your (healthy) body will develop antibodies on its own? Studies show that is precisely what has happened in Sweden, a country that did not lockdown or mandate face masks.” – Bill Sardi.

The higher the case load, the closer we get to herd immunity – for a virus that most people won’t even know they had without a test. The more cases the better. The hospitals don’t seem overwhelmed with anything except maybe revenue derived from coding as many deaths as possible as death by covID.
