The Nassau Humane Society Dog of the Month for August 2020 is Ducky, a mixed breed, 7 year-old male, who is ready to go to a good home. Alex, a NHS volunteer who presented Ducky at the August 4, 2020 Regular Meeting of the Fernandina Beach City Commission, explained that thanks to the generosity of the local community, Ducky recently underwent surgery to repair the dog equivalent of a torn ACL which had caused him to walk with a limp. Alex reported that Ducky is “super sweet and eligible for adoption.”
