Nassau County Emergency Management:

After yesterday’s death of an area resident, Nassau County Emergency Management issued the following statement:

It is with great sadness that DOH-Nassau announces that a third resident with COVID-19 infection has passed away. The patient was a 44-year-old male, previously reported case.  No additional details will be released about the individual. We all extend deepest sympathies to the family and loved ones during their time of sorrow.

The Health Department continues to prioritize protecting the health and wellness of the community to ensure these solemn occasions are as rare as possible.
Protecting the public’s health, however, is everyone’s responsibility.
It is vital that residents and visitors continue to be vigilant in following public health recommendations to prevent the further spread of COVID-19 and to protect each other.

Nassau County cases plus one non-resident.
