Its a “SHELLABRATION” In honor of July 4th, one of our local groups, Amelia Shells will be showing off in all their style and old glory! An 8′ x 10′ yes 8 Foot x 10 foot red, white and blue American Flag….. made entirely of shells will be on display at our very own Main Beach in front of the benches. Come join in the SHELLABRATION on Saturday, June 27 from 11 am til 1 pm in honor of EVERY American’s Independence. Rob Peck is going to sing a few songs and Mayor Johnny Miller will be our MC. SHELL YEA!
Our Facebook group, Amelia Shells was started by Betty Duckworth and Kathy Duke was inspired by a similar group, Sanibel Shells. On March 28, 2018 they created a Facebook page that started with only 3 members. Now we have over 2200 people who paint and hide shells all over the world; for the only purpose to share a smile and spread some happiness!
