Candidate Todd Ericksen

Todd S. Ericksen, proud Nassau County native has filed to run for Ocean, Highway & Port Authority District 1. Mr. Ericksen is a local businessman, father, and conservative.

Mr. Ericksen was educated locally beginning at the old Montessori School when it was located on the South End of Amelia Island. He graduated from Fernandina Beach High School and then obtained an Associate of Arts Degree from Lake City Community College. Subsequently he took the rigorous course work required to obtain his licensing to be a Certified General Appraiser (RZ2881) at the Florida Real Estate Institute.

Mr. Ericksen’s entrepreneurial spirit is undeniable and currently wears many hats when it comes to his occupations. He is the Broker/Owner of a real estate company, a real estate appraiser, and works some evenings at a local waterfront restaurant as a bartender. A father of 3 adult children, Ashley, Brylen, and Holly he knowns the value of a strong economic engine that will attract the well-paying jobs our future generations will be seeking in an effort to stay close to home, while still making a good living. Todd knows the value of being able to work close to home, a lesson he learned from his parents Bill (retired Forester) and Sally (retired Occupational Therapist).

Mr. Ericksen sees his goals of having the port to operate in a safe, transparent, and profitable manner as attainable by a cooperative effort with Port Authority, the port operator, and the community at large. He feels that it is imperative that the port is able to continue to provide good jobs while also being a responsible neighbor. By his election he will bring energy, entrepreneurial spirit, and analytical abilities to the Port Authority.
