    Dr. Grooms is Committed To:
  1. Keeping Students First: Cindy believes that all students should have a plan for success after graduation from high school. Students should either be prepared to pursue a college education, enroll in a post- secondary career program, or enter the world of work.

In order to accomplish this the district should:
a. Focus on College Readiness- Students who plan to enter college must be provided with a challenging curriculum that will provide them with the skills necessary to pass the ACT and /or SAT and enter the college or university of their choice. and
b. Expand Career and Technical Education- Additional career and technical training programs should be offered to students who do not plan on attending college. This will enable the students to pursue additional training after graduation or to enter the workforce.
2. Operating Safe, and Orderly Schools with Positive Learning Environments: Dr. Grooms believes in safe schools that have clear discipline policies which are enforced fairly. Bullying of students cannot be tolerated.
3. Opposing Property Tax Increases: Cindy will review the budget and cut wasteful spending.
4. Being Accessible to all Citizens: Dr. Grooms will always be available to discuss issues with the parents and citizens of Nassau County.
