Plantation Artists’ Galery
June 3, 2020
PAGG (Plantation Artists’ Guild & Gallery) is pleased to announce that Noelle Almond will be the “Corner” show artist for the month of June. Please stop in to view her beautiful work. Noelle works in acrylic and incorporates a lot of finger and hand painting along with natural sponges after she uses a brush. Noelle concentrates on sketching and painting delicate eco-systems and endangered and at risk species as her favorite subjects. Her husband Alex, makes most of her frames by hand, surrounding her artwork in beautiful natural oak and pine.
A passionate Sea Turtle advocate, Noelle says it is a very important time for Sea Turtle awareness since it is the beginning of there laying season. When she witnessed her first Sea Turtle hatchings in the 1980’s, it left such a remarkable memory, that the imprint will never leave her. Many of Noelle’s painting features these marvelous creatures.
Relocating to the Plantation on Amelia Island from Lexington, SC, she focuses on painting. Noelle takes lessons from the Mauers. She studies painting with Kathleen, drawing with William. Her other passions are baking and charity work. Among her charities are “Cats Angels.” Noelle has been a member of the gallery since October 2019.
