Nassau County Recovery Information Fair moves to Fernandina Beach on May 13

Editor’s Note: Information just received . . . “In addition to the county offices listed in the link, the Fernandina Beach Building Department, the Council on Aging and the Northeast Florida Career Source will be participating. We will be updating our FB page (NassauEM) later this evening with the services they will provide. We will also be posting Recovery Guides for specific groups by our Recovery Task Force.”

Recovery Information Fair to be held at Fernandina Beach High School on Wednesday, May 13, 9-12

Due to the success of our Recovery Information Fairs held last week in Callahan and Yulee, we will be conducting a new Recovery Information Fair at Fernandina Beach High School this Wednesday, May 13th, between 9am and Noon.

Most Nassau County government offices will have representatives present again at the FB High School bus loop to answer your questions and provide some services.

Listed below are those government offices participating:

Nassau County Clerk of the Courts
Introduction of Green Light, a program concerning payment of fines, fees or court costs.

Nassau County School District
Information about:
• Kindergarten registration
• End of year check-in procedures for technology, etc.
• Summer school
• School contact information for each location
• Bus driver recruitment

Nassau County Property Appraiser
Assisting with late-filing exemptions for:
• Homestead
• First Responders
• Military/Veterans
• Deployed Military
• Widow/Widower
• Seniors
• Religious or Charitable Organizations
• Agricultural

Nassau County Supervisor of Elections
Assisting with:
• Requests for vote-by-mail ballots
• Updating voter registration
• Updating voter signatures

Any requirements for masks or social distancing? Or is it just a chance for folks to get out, mingle, get information, socialize, and possibly get infected?
