All this Coronavirus talk getting you down?  Need to get away from it all and forget about face masks, social distancing and handwashing, even if just for a week?  This could be just the ticket.

The luxury yacht Bella Vita, registered in the Cayman Islands, docked in the Fernandina Harbor Marina yesterday for a quick visit.  And she is available to charter through Moran Yacht & Ship.

According to the ship’s brochure, it was built by Lürssen in 2009 and formerly named the Northern Star.  She was designed by Espen Oeino with a voluminous interior by British designer Pauline Nunns. The ‘country house’ style interior comfortably accommodates 12 guests in six staterooms and there’s room for as many as 22 crew. Helicopter capable, among the many special features of the Bella Vita is an ice-classed hull and a range of 7,000 nautical miles. With a cinema, beauty salon and gym, she combines the luxury of a pedigree superyacht with the go-anywhere capabilities of an expedition yacht.

Before you start packing your bags, you may want to check your tax return.  Bella Vita is available for charter from around $650,000 per week!

That’s exclusively for the the rich & famous and the 1-percenters, but as for the majority of good hard working citizens of Nassau County, $650,000 could be more-than they will make in a lifetime.

Most people make more than $650,000 in a lifetime. 40 years of $16,250 per year would be $650,000. On an hourly basis, $16,250 is about $7.81. It’s still A LOT of money for a week of vacation though – more than most good hard working citizens of Nassau County will spend on a week-long vacation in their lifetime.
