It’s such an important festival to Amelia Island, we couldn’t just let COVID-19 get in the way!
So, let’s put on our Shrimp Fest t-shirts from the past, dig out those beads that have been in the closet since last year, and celebrate our heritage as the capital of the modern shrimp industry.

Jeff has had nearly a 50-year association with the seafood business. He was a shrimp and fish farmer and later a seafood processing plant inspector and inspected facilities all over the world. He also loves to cook and eat all types of seafood, but especially SHRIMP!
Over the years, much of the seafood we consume in the U.S. is imported. What should we buy? How safe is “farmed” seafood? Should you only purchase “wild caught” seafood? Tune in for important and enlightening information about today’s seafood market.

Saturday pick-up, noon to 1 pm
Local shrimp is about as good as it gets!
The Bistro will use our Rebecca Cano’s family recipe and fresh local shrimp with all of the vegetables and rice that make this a soulful, delicious dish.
Your meal will include a green salad made with Freddie Bacon’s farmers market greens and a homemade lemon square.
You may also choose a bowl of Shrimp & Corn Chowder with your salad and dessert.
Reservations necessary. $15 per person (by Friday noon)
The Art of Dining on Amelia Island
Joy Bateman spent months on Amelia Island visiting restaurants, gathering recipes and painting scenes that capture the character and charm of our little slice of paradise. While some of the restaurants are now just fond memories, there are plenty we look forward to dining at again (soon!). Visit our favorite recipes and restaurants in this little gem of a book. This is also a nice souvenir for guests! $14.95
