From the Fernandina Beach website
A link to AirNow has been added to the “Community” tab of the City’s website. AirNow shows the Air Quality Index (AQI) of the area. The AQI tells how clean or polluted the outdoor air is, along with associated health effects that may be of concern. The AQI translates air quality data into numbers and colors that help people understand when to take action to protect their health.
I looked at that site and it looks to me like it is generic Jacksonville air quality. Not clear where the monitoring is being done. I think it would be wonderful if they stuck an air monitoring system right on the roof of the Fernandina Beach town hall and then we could all see what the actual air quality is right here in town.
I agree.
I get the air quality on my Fernandina Beach weather app. Con’t know if it’s local or not. Says it is 39 and good.
Don’t know.
