In my 70 years of living in Fernandina Beach, I can never recall a “Water Spout” occurring
in the community. Amazing !! This is another sign that our global climate is changing.

In regard to Herb Dickens comment that “This is another sign that our global climate is changing”. I beg to differ; “Water Spouts” have been around for years! When I was coaching and officiating a local swim meet at the Recreation Center some 20 years ago; Amelia Island experience a Water Spout just off the coast in open waters and then dissipated after 15-20 minutes. Climate Change wasn’t even a topic of discussion.
