While many people focused attention on automobiles this past weekend at the Concours d’Elegance and the various car auctions, others turned their attention to the city marina, where dredging work continued Saturday.

City Manager Dale Martin reported Friday that in addition to the dredging, which is very visible, other work is also underway.  The docks for the south attenuator are under construction, and according to US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) officials, the permit is likely to be issued this week to rebuild the north attenuator. Design and cost estimates are being prepared for review.
