Fernandina Beach places 30th among affordable American beaches

The vacation rental site hometogo.com has recently published their listing of the 50 Most Affordable Beaches in the United States.  Fernandina Beach placed 30th on this list, with a daily cost of $90.16.

Twenty of the 50 beaches listed are in the state of Florida.  Four Florida beaches landed in the top 10, including Jacksonville Beach ranked in first place at $62.92; St. Augustine Beach ranked 5th ($71.24) followed by Indian Rocks Beach in 6th place ($73.33); and 9th place Crystal Sands Beach in Destin ($75.01). 

According to the website,  “Our 2019 ranking examines the cost of parking, sunscreen, water, lunch, a beer, a cocktail, plus accommodation at each of the sunny locations. We used our own metasearch data to find the average price per person to stay in a 6-person vacation rental for one night between March 23, 2019 and June 22, 2019.”

The most expensive of the “Affordable Beaches” on the list is Corona del Mar, Newport Beach, California at $120.56.
