Marlin & Barrel Distillery Announces Limited Release of Straight Bourbon Whiskey

Fernandina Beach, FL (November 14, 2018) Marlin & Barrel Distillery is pleased to announce the sale of the first ever distilled and aged straight bourbon whiskey by a Florida distillery under its own brand.

Marlin & Barrel has started selling a limited release of Shoreline Straight Bourbon Whiskey. This product is homegrown, distilled and aged in-house in new American charred white oak barrels. After 25+ months of aging, this bourbon has earned the distinguished classification of straight bourbon as noted by the Alcohol and Tobacco TTB regulations.

“There are bourbons and whiskeys offered in Florida – including our own four-grain Shoreline American Whiskey, but nothing like this has ever been done before. When Ms. Tonia Bradley of the Amelia Island Bourbon Society purchased the first bottle, we both made history. To be able to sell the first ever straight bourbon made in-house under your own brand is something we’re very proud of. It’s historic,” says Roger Morenc, owner of Marlin & Barrel Distillery.

This first batch is a quantity of no more than 200 bottles and will only be sold at the distillery’s tasting room in historic downtown Fernandina Beach. Further releases, including specialty barrel finishes, will follow shortly.

Marlin & Barrel is a distiller of 3 varieties of Venture Vodka, 5 varieties of Bearing Rum, Blossom Orangecello, Blossom Grapefruitcello, 2nd Street Gin, and Shoreline American Whiskey. All spirits are hand-crafted, distilled and bottled in their craft distillery located on Amelia Island in historic Fernandina Beach, FL. It is sold at restaurants and where fine spirits can be found in Northeast Florida.
