Jeanne Scott is excited to announce her candidacy to run for Ocean Highway & Port Authority, District 4. Jeanne has always been an active participant of Nassau County and community involvement. Originally a Jacksonville native, she moved to Nassau County with her family in 1967. Jeanne has an extensive Marketing and Business background and has been in this field since 1978, beginning with Eastman Kodak Company. She remained in the Marketing profession and started her own business, Scott Marketing & Company where she remained until she sold the company in 2007. Currently, she is a Nassau County small business owner in property management.

Jeanne is well known throughout Nassau County both East and West Nassau. She was the first woman to serve on the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office Reserve, former Planning & Zoning Board Member for eleven years and past Co-Chairman, former West Nassau Historical Society president and formerly served as Ocean Highway Port Authority Office Administrator.

She recently retired from Acosta Sales & Marketing in March 2018, representing Kraft Heinz and Proctor & Gamble as Territory Manager. Jeanne is a Lifetime member of West Nassau Historical Society, Nassau County Chamber of Commerce member and Lions Club volunteer. As evidenced in a lifetime of Nassau County community service history and professional business experience, she brings many qualities and experience essential to the Nassau County Ocean Highway Port Authority Board.

“I will bring to the office of Ocean Highway Port Authority – District 4, firsthand many years of professional business experience, Nassau County Government knowledge and years of personal community-based involvement. These collective examples of Nassau County dedication and career work experience history are for sure evidence of qualifications for the Ocean Highway Port Authority candidate race. I am sincerely excited and thankful for all in the community that supports me and have encouraged me to run for this office,” said Scott. “My vision for the OHPA is economic growth both financially, Nassau County jobs, Port Safety and Port Charter revision. I will be an active productive Commissioner working for the citizens of Nassau County with total transparency.” Communication, Teamwork and Innovation!

Jeanne resides on the Saint Mary’s River in Hilliard with her husband Ron Milligan and their dog Rex. They are members of Callahan First Baptist Church. She enjoys creative cooking, all river activity, music, family, friends and grandchildren.
