Support for female cancer patients on Amelia Island

The Pink Ribbon Ladies and Ackerman Cancer Center are excited to announce upcoming support program dates for women with any female cancer. Meetings are held on the second Monday of the month at Ackerman Cancer Center, located on the campus of Baptist Medical Center – Nassau at 1340 S. 18th Street, Suite 103.

All cancer patients, caregivers, family and friends are invited to join us for the upcoming meeting on May 14th from 6 to 7 p.m. Ackerman Cancer Center’s Dr. Ryan Perkins, a board certified radiation oncologist, will speak with the group about managing side effects posttreatment, including lymphedema, neuropathy, and fatigue.

The Pink Ribbon Ladies offers support and education for women with breast, ovarian, cervical, and other female cancers in Nassau County. Upcoming meeting topics will include lymphedema treatment and support, sexuality, cancer screening guidelines for women who have had cancer, and proton therapy for breast cancer.
