“The Rayonier Advanced Materials plant on Gum Street has been a Fernandina fixture for more than four generations. Today, nearly 300 people help manufacture its high purity cellulose specialties, which can be found in automotive filters, eyeglasses, pharmaceuticals and even the screen on which you’re viewing this photo. To the plant’s left is the construction crane for Rayonier Advanced Materials’ newest addition, LignoTech Florida, which is on track to begin operations in mid 2018 creating 50 new jobs.”  Photo courtesy of Stephan Leimberg, unseenimages.com
