4th grader Samantha Baranek (left) and 5th grader Kate Badiali (right) will perform with the 2016 Florida Elementary All-State Choir in Tampa in January.

Kate Badiali and Samantha Baranek, students of Emma Love Hardee Elementary, have been selected to participate in the 2016 Florida Elementary All-State Chorus.  Only two students were selected for this honor from Nassau County.

This is a very high honor as the selection process was through a blind audition. These students will be preparing and memorizing music that will be performed with 200 of the best elementary singers in the state at the Florida Music Educators Association Convention in Tampa, January 13-14.   The mission of the Florida Elementary Music Educators Association is to unite and support music educators in order to provide a high quality, comprehensive music education for all children.

Music Specialist Michael Genslinger added, “I’m so proud of these girls. They have earned the opportunity to participate in this once in a life time experience. I’m looking forward to seeing these already talented and driven students experience great musical growth as we prepare the challenging music for the elementary all-state choir.”
