The Fernandina Beach City Commission (FBCC) held a Special Meeting during a break in another Special Meeting on September 22, 2015 for the purpose of holding a legally mandated public hearing on the adoption of a final operating millage for Fiscal Year 2015/16 as well as the adoption of a final budget of $109,426,000 for that fiscal year, which begins October 1.

Mayor Ed Boner read the Truth In Millage statement, as required by law:

TRIM

During the meeting, which lasted about 12 minutes, the FBCC also appointed D. Marshall McCrary, the city’s Deputy Manager to serve as City Manager Pro Tem following the departure of current City Manager Joe Gerrity at the end of the Fiscal Year.

The final item of business was the adoption of a Master Fee Schedule for the city for the next fiscal year.

Each of the four items passed on a 4-1 vote, with Commissioner Pat Gass opposing each item. There was no commission discussion or public input on any item.
