Florida State College at Jacksonville has announced the appointment of Donna Martin as the new executive director of the Betty P. Cook Nassau Center.

Ms. Martin began her role in this capacity on Monday, April 6, 2015.

“I am excited to be coming home to where I began my career with FSCJ, the Nassau Center,” said Donna Martin. “I am looking forward to working with the dedicated staff at the Nassau Center to expand and improve the educational opportunities available to our students.”

Donna Martin began her career with FSCJ in 1999 and has since served in various positions at the Nassau Center, North Campus and Downtown Campus. She holds an Ed.S. degree from Appalachian State University, master’s degree from the University of North Florida and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Florida. Ms. Martin’s background also includes dedicated service as the Board Chair for the Nassau County School Board for the past five years.

“Ms. Martin has an extensive passion for education and an abundance of experience in instruction, training, organization and management,” said FSCJ North Campus President and Interim Executive Director for Nassau County Dr. Sandy Robinson. “We are extremely fortunate to have Ms. Martin as a leader. With her talent and expertise, our students, faculty and staff at the Nassau Center are sure to excel.”

With this change, Dr. Sandy Robinson, interim executive director for the Nassau Center, will now transition to her role as North Campus president, following the retirement of longtime president Dr. Barbara Darby.
