Fernandina Beach City Manager Joe Gerrity kicked off the City Commission’s annual goal setting workshop on February 4, 2014 with an impressive recap of accomplishments over the calendar year 2014 from Main Beach to the Airport, and lots in between. While settling the long running impact fee lawsuit received a lot of press, many other accomplishments were also newsworthy, including the city’s earning better insurance rates for residents by improving the city’s ISO rating from 5-3. While a complete list of accomplishments presented may be found on the homepage of the city’s website (fbfl.us), the slides below represent a sampling of good things that happened in our city in 2014.
