Texas Roadhouse LOGOTexas Roadhouse, the Kentucky-based restaurant chain recently named to Forbes’ List of America’s 100 Most Trustworthy Companies, held its annual conference on Amelia Island for four days beginning last Saturday, April 27, 2014.  As part of their “Community Give-Back Program,” approximately 1200 executives, managers and staff will engage in multiple activities to support efforts of local non-profit agencies.  Fernandina Beach City Manager Joe Gerrity recently advised local residents and visitors on the scope of the Texas Roadhouse activities:

If you are out and about Monday evening, consider stopping by the street festival on Front Street between 9-11:00 p.m. to enjoy the music and say thanks to the Texas Roadhouse folks who will have spent their time and about $100,000 making our community a better place.

While there is no Texas Roadhouse located locally, the nearest one may be found in Orange Park.

It says a lot to the hospitality of the Island businesses and the City of FB that this represents a return visit by this group, so they obviously had a great time on their first visit. Their community work effort contribution is quite impressive and they should be thanked for all these activities.
