The City Building Department surveyed 199 building permits in March 2014. The total number of permits issued in 2014 to date is 609, slightly down from last year at this time (640). Mechanical permits led the way pn March with 36, followed by tree removal, excavate, fill (30), general residential permits (27) and electrical permits (27).
