FOL - Check

Bill Flynn, FOL president, presented a check to Nassau County Commissioners this morning to complete its donation of $25,000 to the Nassau County Public Library System. This represents the organization’s annual gift to the library – it is not part of the capital campaign. Annual gifts to the Library are raised primarily from used book sales and are used by the Library to pay for wireless internet access and for print and electronic subscriptions to newspapers, magazines, business journals, and other materials including books, e-books, books on CD and DVDs.

The donations also help fund programs for adults, teens and children including the summer library program and Black History Month activities.

FOL is also raising funds through a capital campaign to expand and renovate the library…
